Horror films are normally unsettling and strive to draw out many emotions such as fear, disgust and horror from the audience. Horror films often feature scenes that shock the viewer through the means of gruesome and the supernatural and frequently overlapping with the fantasy and science fiction genres and also thriller genre. Horror films consistently deal with the viewer's nightmares which are hidden in worst fears and terror of the unknown. Although a good deal of it is about the supernatural, if some films contain a plot serial killers or a disease/virus outbreak and surrealism, they may be termed as horror.
